Erin completed her first 200-hour program at the Yoga Studio College of Canada and immediately started the 200-hour training at Inspired Yoga Institute. She was so deeply rooted in her studies that she followed that up with the 300-hour program at IYI and a 50-hour meditation teacher training at Define Yoga School. She has amassed over 750 hour of in-class training which she draws on as an active teacher in Calgary and Airdri. She is also a Reiki Master, and a Spring Forest Qigong Level 4 practitioner and practice group leader. Erin offers a variety of yoga classes focused on alignment and flow with a focus on mediation and myth at The Yoga Studio in Calgary and Oranj Fitness in Airdrie.
Yoga – the practice, the community and philosophy has taken her to her heart; she has walked in the practices every day and transformed her fear into curiosity and courage. Instead of seeing difficulties as obstacles, she sees them as opportunities for growth, learning and understanding of deeper parts of herself and others. Through her study and teaching, she learned to return to connection; connection to community, to everything around her and maybe most importantly to herself. Her path has been one of tears and triumphs; of uncertainty and of knowing – a winding path that unfolds in mystery in its own time but always with grace, with gifts.
You will find Erin reading, studying, practicing meditation and asana, journaling and digging deeply into tradition and self-study using the many tools her teachers have gifted her with. She is committed to living with an open heart and holding space for students to do the same.
