Teaching Skills 2: Adjustments & Demonstrations

“Touch comes before sight, before speech. It is the first language, and the last, and it always tells the truth.” ~ Margaret Atwood ~

September 27-29, 2019

Fri 5-8PM • Sat 9-4:30PM • Sun 9-4:30PM

Location: Journey Yoga, Calgary AB

You have probably received adjustments from yoga teachers before that invite your body to open in ways you never knew was possible, as well as others that make you want to cringe. Learn what makes this difference!
Adjustments and demonstrations are an effective way to enhance students’ awareness of their abilities and improve the flow of energy within their poses. When done well, these offerings can be transformational and leave your students feeling empowered. The physical and energetic intelligence of a pose can be transferred to the student through skillful demonstration, verbal direction and the power of touch.
